Ride A Pet: choose the right radar before spending another search

Gears' consumable radars locate eggs of a particular rarity in Ride A Pet. Each unit covers one search and is lost after use, even if you fail to collect the egg. Prepare before activating its five-minute tracking window.

Check these before buying

Visit the central market's Gears stall and read rarity, price and stock. Jewel Radar tracks Epic eggs; Royal Radar tracks Legendary eggs. Buying a more expensive one does not guarantee a particular pet from the hatch.

Leave space to carry the egg and have a nest available to receive it. If the item is sold out, check the shop's displayed restock information: an old screenshot establishes neither today's stock nor price.

Buy, equip and activate

1. Buy the radar for your target rarity and check that it appears in inventory.
2. Equip it from inventory or the hotbar. Buying or equipping alone does not start the search.
3. When ready to leave, use Use Radar or the activation action shown on your device.
4. Follow the arrow and distance toward the egg. If the marker looks empty, inspect elevation changes and nearby obstacles before spending another unit.
5. Pick up the egg and confirm it entered your basket.
6. Return to your plot and place it in an empty nest to start hatching.

The second timer is different

The five-minute tracking window does not replace the Egg Will Break warning displayed while carrying an egg. After pickup, watch that warning and return to your plot; do not assume you still have the radar's entire remaining time.

Decide whether to buy again

Editorial recommendation: identify what failed after each attempt. If you bought the wrong rarity, change your selection; if the marker was behind a wall, review the approach. Repeating a purchase without addressing the obstacle can consume your budget without completing the route.
