Status: available according to Roblox
The global display of the age check chat began in January 2026. Roblox announced global availability of Kids and Select on June 16. Without age check, the chat remains disabled.
What improves
The controls are age-appropriate and parents can check the communication. To develop, check that your game instructions work without depending on whether everyone can write.
The limit
Restrictions can make it difficult to coordinate friends of different ages. Functions and availability vary by region; controls do not guarantee absolute security.
What to check as dev
Test tutorials with clear visual signals and objectives. This editorial recommendation seeks to keep the game understandable with restricted chat.
