Fisch: why Nates Blade remains Restricted and what to finish

Quick answer

Rebuilding Nates Blade does not finish its progression. If it shows Restricted, continue the Relive the Trailer trials and A Nostalgia Trip objectives. Nate's rescue follows: recovering the rod is not completing the entire story.

Requirements

You need the Restricted rod and those stages available in your Quest Book. Equip it before fishing trials and check the active objective.

Steps

1. At Moosewood Docks, make Perfect Catches of the species tracked by the quest.
2. Complete the required perfect catches at Roslit Volcano.
3. Register 20 Perfect Catches of Colossal Squid at Snowcap Cave.
4. Continue A Nostalgia Trip. Its checklist combines original fish, rods, titles, boats, lanterns, badges, enchantments and weather; finishing the earlier trials alone is insufficient.
5. Check remaining objectives and return to Miso when instructed to advance.

Mistakes and decisions

An ordinary catch does not replace a Perfect Catch. Check that the counter increases before repeating the same fishing many times. Editorial recommendation: plan each session around a missing objective, not a promised completion time.

Success checklist

Correct rod equipped, active stage checked, catches recorded and A Nostalgia Trip checklist completed. Inspect the rod's status and the Quest Book's next instructions. No fixed number of hours is promised to finish the process.
