Steal An Egg: unlock Ride without using a star on the wrong pet

Quick answer

To unlock Ride, first convert your pet into a mount with a Shooting Star / Mount Star. Keeping the star in your backpack is not enough: apply it to the pet.

Requirements

Your own pet and a star. Obtain one during the nighttime star event or buy one from the Star Handler near spawn. Check the live offer; this guide fixes neither a price nor a probability.

Steps

1. Choose a pet you intend to keep: conversion is permanent.
2. Equip the star from your inventory.
3. Approach that pet and use the star on it.
4. Review and accept the confirmation. The star is consumed by that conversion.
5. Find the pet in the equipped-pets panel and select Ride.

Decisions and mistakes

One star converts one pet, not your whole collection. Editorial recommendation: choose your riding pet before activating the item. For free stars, remain in the server from the start of the in-game day; joining after the event starts does not replace that requirement.

Success check and checklist

Check that the converted pet offers Ride. If missing, check that you confirmed conversion and selected the correct pet. Checklist: pet chosen, star applied, confirmation accepted, and Ride button visible.
