Quick answer
The best pet is the one that removes the problem slowing down your next session. Before buying, classify your bottleneck as movement, production, defense or collection. Rarity alone does not prove that a pet is better for your farm.
What to compare before spending
| If your problem is… | Look for an ability for… | Documented examples |
|---|---|---|
| Crossing the map takes too long | Movement | Bunny increases walking speed |
| Your plants take too long to produce | Growth | Deer speeds up plant growth |
| You lose fruit at night | Defense | Bee patrols and attacks intruders |
| Gathering resources is difficult | Collection | Robin can collect ripe fruit and drop seeds |
The examples appear in both community tables and the independent June list. The description and price displayed on your server take priority over any external table.
Step-by-step method
- Choose one goal. For example, reduce route time or protect a nighttime harvest. Do not try to solve four problems with one purchase.
- Measure one session without changing anything. Note what cost you the most time or resources.
- Read the pet's complete ability. Compare effect, cost, source and current availability. Do not confuse rarity with function.
- Remove options that do not affect your bottleneck. A defensive pet can be valuable, but it will not speed up a slow route.
- Buy the sufficient option, not necessarily the most expensive. If a common ability solves the problem, keep resources for seeds, capacity or another upgrade.
- Repeat the same route or harvest. Change only one variable. If the result improves, keep the pet; if not, identify the next bottleneck before spending again.
When competing for a map pet
The independent reference describes pets appearing in the lobby or at map points with a timer, and switching buyers if another player offers more. When that system appears on your server:
- Set your maximum price before bidding.
- Do not empty the budget reserved for seeds.
- Check the timer and acquisition source.
- Walk away if the bid exceeds the benefit you expect.
Common mistakes
- Buying for color or rarity without reading the ability.
- Treating an old table as the current interface.
- Comparing pets from different currencies, events or acquisition methods as if they had the same cost.
- Chasing announced, datamined or expired-event pets as if they were available.
- Changing pet, seeds and strategy at the same time, making the improvement impossible to identify.
How to confirm the choice worked
Repeat the same activity twice and check one signal: shorter route time, more completed harvests, fewer thefts or more resources collected. If you cannot identify an observable improvement, do not buy another pet yet.
Checklist
- [ ] I defined my main problem.
- [ ] I verified ability, cost and availability in-game.
- [ ] I compared function, not just rarity.
- [ ] I kept resources for the rest of the farm.
- [ ] I tested the same activity before and after.
