Quick answer
The Radar reveals important forest locations. Craft it at a level 3 Crafting Bench for 15 Wood and 10 Scrap. Activating it also consumes Scrap: paying for construction does not fund the scan.
What you can find
Documented targets include the Tool Workshop (anvil workshop) and Cultist Stronghold. It helps locate structures; do not use it as a nearby-creature detector or a signal that the route is free of enemies.
Requirements and first scan
Have the Map built to check destinations, plus bench 3, Radar materials and additional activation Scrap. Read the scan price in your session's interface before accepting: do not confuse that charge with the recipe's 10 Scrap.
- Open the level 3 bench and select Radar.
- Craft it and place it somewhere accessible in camp.
- Interact, review the requested cost and confirm if you have resources reserved.
- Check the map for revealed locations.
- Choose a target and prepare the trip; a marker does not complete the journey.
When it is worth using
Editorial recommendation: if you already know where the required structure is, save resources for another bottleneck. If exploration is not finding a workshop or stronghold, the Radar may help you choose a route. Do not buy it expecting a combat upgrade.
Mistakes and success check
If you cannot activate it, check your scan reserve before crafting another device. Do not treat a marker as a safety guarantee or spend team resources without agreeing what you are looking for.
Success: locations appear on the map and you can choose a recognizable destination. Checklist: bench 3; checked recipe; extra reserve; price read; target chosen; equipment and return planned.
